Smudge

Cedar Smudge Bundle, Large

Cedar Bundle

A full, generous bundle of cedar for smudging the whole home. Burn a little at a time when you move in, after a hard week or at the turn of a season, then set it back on its shell for next time. One bundle lasts for many smudges.

• Dried cedar boughs, hand-wrapped with cotton thread
• About 8 in (20 cm) long
• Photo shows a typical bundle; yours will vary in size, shape and colour
• To smudge, light the tip, let the flame settle, then gently blow it out so the cedar smoulders. Hold a shell or fireproof dish beneath it, and press the tip into sand or the shell to put it out completely.
